| Synopsis: |
More than three years in writing, research, development and manufacturing, Zap Science is another multimedia, multi-crazy, multi-everything science book-o-rama from Klutz.Just like The Explorabook, its award-winning, million-copy-selling predecessor, Zap Science is a five-senses, full-court learning experience. It was conceived and written by John (The Explorabook Earthsearch, etc. etc.) Cassidy and created in collaboration with the staff of the world-famous San Francisco Exploratorium. The project is broken into five sections: Crystal Crazies, Light Beam Trickiness, Soda Bottle Science, Static Electricity and 3-D Excitement. Each section is built around the "Do This Book" principle. Zap Science doesn't have readers; it has participants. If the book isn't chewed, smelled, bent, zapped, frozen and kicked around, it's not being used at all properly. The final result of all the massive massive effort that went into this project is a 17-story roller coaster science ride. Hang on and don't tell your mother. |
