Set of 100 magnets. The phonics method is taught to children from reception year (age 5) in infant/primary school. In their Primary National Strategy, The Department for Education and Skills recommended a phased approach to phonics teaching in schools, 'Letters and Sounds' This set covers phases 2 and 3 of the scheme as taught in Reception class. Phase 1 is listening and speaking. This pack provides 100 large and easy to handle magnets, 2 of each letter and letter group. They are presented pre-cut in an A4 sheet. The magnets are designed to help with spelling and reading skills, for example saying the sounds as the word is spelt out, sh..ee..p. This set covers a to z and the following letter groups ai, air, ar, ch, ck, ear, ee, er, ff, igh, ll, ng, qu, oa, oi, oo, or, ow, sh, ss, th, ur, ure, zz. The typeface used has the letter forms currently being taught at school. Designed for use at home or school. Warning! This product is not suitable for use by children under 36 months due to small parts that may cause a choking hazard. Warning!
