On each page is a poem, with brief additional material about the poem or the poet, giving added charm and interest - sometimes biographical, sometimes anecdotal, sometimes explanatory, sometimes historical. There are 366 poems (one for each day of the year, and one for leap years), to delight and inspire - and learn by heart, chosen for their magic and memorability. The poems are varied: old and contemporary, well-known and new, and with a completely different selection from the first volume. |
