Lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) people struggle to be accommodated in Russia and other post-Soviet states, where recently there has been an increase in homophobic violence, and the introduction of laws restricting their rights. This book explores how this situation has come about. Overall the book provided a wealth of detail on this understudied subject, and assesses how current attitudes are changing. |
