They soon become the centre of attention when they win a very special contest, which makes them look like the renowned hackers Kite and Black Rose. As they move through The World they encounter friends and allies including Mireille, the rare-item hunter, the irresistible Ohka, as dangerous as she is beautiful, and the mysterious Lord Balmung, a character from the past keeping an eye on Shugo and Rena. It soon becomes clear that they are extraordinary players as unusual things keep happening around them, but they're too busy having fun to pay much attention to it. |
