In a suburb of Chicago, a High School's faculty seems to be overbearing and have powers that strip rebellious students of their freedom. When one of the students, Maddox (Blake Shields) discovers that a former student, John Stanton, had been institutionalised several years ago after he rebelled against the faculty, he decides that it is time to react. With his friends, Maddox beigins to investigate the truth behind the legendary Stanton alongside planning their own rebellion, but his friends begin to suspect that there may be more to the legend than they feel comfortable with.
