The inspiration for the popular sixties TV series 'The Fugitive', which spawned the hugely successful Harrison Ford movie in 1993, was in fact a real-life miscarriage of justice. This film dramatizes the conviction of surgeon Dr Sam Sheppard for allegedly murdering his wife, as seen from the point of view of his son Chip.
