Barry Humphries plays Sir Leslie Patterson, the Australian Cultural Ambassador, who is sent to an oil rich Gulf state to make peace after a United Nation blunder. After escaping a firing squad, he uncovers a plot to hold the world to ransom with the threat of biological warfare.
