Four tales from the 'Neverending Story' fantasy franchise. Bastian Balthazar Bux (Mark Rendall) is an average 12-year-old boy whose life revolves around going to school, watching TV and playing video games. That is until he discovers a magical book, 'The Neverending Story', in a fascinating curiosity shop owned by the mysterious Carl Coreander (John Dunn Hill). Bastian's imagination is inspired by the book's tale of an enchanted world called Fantasia; a world ruled by the Childlike Empress (Audrey Gardiner) and inhabited by an assortment of heroes, villains, dark knights, centaurs, werewolves and other strange mythical creatures. Sadly, Fantasia is being destroyed by a terrible evil force known as The Nothing. As Bastian gets deeper into the book his actions in the real world begin to affect events in Fantasia. Soon he finds himself thrust into the fantasy world in the form of his alter ego, Atreyu (Tyler Hynes), a 14-year-old woodland boy and an unlikely hero who may be able to find a cure for The Nothing and save Fantasia. |
