Description: |
Peter Firth stars as mild mannered dentist Leslie Steckler who rents an apartment from once successful crime novelist, Ellen Carter (Harriet Robinson). They share a dark secret; both have committed murder, but only one of them is the brutal serial killer, better known as the 'White Angel'. In a deadly game of cat and mouse, they attempt to outwit each other, uncovering a world of endless fear and evil. 12-year-old Lizzie is involved in a nasty car crash and when doctors arrive on the scene is pronounced dead. But they manage miraculously to revive her three minutes later. On her return home Lizzie starts to have horrible nightmares and visions and is convinced that she should have died in the crash. When her mother Kate is confronted with these strange events she thinks that they may be victims of a poltergeist infestation. She tries to get help and finds it in a local journalist who introduces her to a group of parapsychologists, spiritualists and Christians - all giving their own expert opinions on the unexplained. But while her household is surrounded by investigators trying to work out what is going on, Lizzie is still having visions... |
