Bronx teenager Diana Guzman (Michelle Rodriguez) is always getting into trouble fighting at school, and it seems that life holds little for her. But she sees the chance of a better future when she steps into the boxing ring at her brother's gym. The coach Hector (Jaime Tirelli) spots Diana's talent and soon has her on a rigorous training programme, helping her to prove that she has what it takes to be contender. However, when she falls for young boxer Adrian (Santiago Douglas), she sees that it's not only guts and determination which will help her succeed, but compassion as well. |
