Gary Oldman plays veteran New York cop, Jack Grimaldi, working for both the Organized Crime Task Force as a witness-protector and the mob as a witness-seller. Grimaldi cheats on everyone; the law, the mob, his wife (Annabelle Sciorra) and his mistress (Juliette Lewis), thinking he's doing just fine until he is asked to protect sexy mob assassin Mona Demarkov (Lena Olin).
