| Description: |
Double bill featuring two popular comedy movies. In 'Superbad' (2007), two socially inept teenage boys are about to graduate from high school. Having been accepted into different colleges, the two are forced to contemplate life apart - a concept that induces severe separation anxiety in them both. Evan (Michael Cera) is sweet, smart, and generally terrified. Seth (Jonah Hill) is foul-mouthed, volatile, and all-consumed with the topic of human sexuality. The film portrays their misguided attempts to reverse a lifelong losing streak with the opposite sex in one panic-driven night - that awful, humiliating night you cherish for the rest of your life. In 'Knocked Up' (2007), slacker Ben (Seth Rogen) and up-and-coming career girl Alison (Katherine Heigl) meet at a bar and end up having a one night stand. Eight weeks later, Ben is shocked when Alison asks to meet up with him and reveals that she is pregnant. Despite having little in common, the two decide that they have to at least try to make some kind of relationship work for the baby's sake. |
