| Description: |
Romantic film about the lesbian awakening of a wife and mother in 1950's Britain. Ellen Hardy (Barbara Marten) has lived a life in service of others; her parents, her son, her husband, society and given little thought to whether or not she was fulfilled by it. When she meets Kathy (Andrina Carroll), her son's pretty, vivacious and confident teacher, her life looks suddenly rather pale. Unable, however, to simply make such a gigantic change, especially given the morally intolerant climate of North England in the'50s. Ellen and Kathy embark on a tender, unspoken and covert relationship. |
