| Description: |
Japanese drama focusing on the battleship Yamato's role in Operation Ten-Go. Makiko Uchida (Kyoka Suzuki) goes to Kagoshima in search of a vessel that will take her out to sea to where the Yamato sunk 60 years previously. She is unsuccessful until she mentions to Captain Katsumi Kamio (Tatsuya Nakadai), who served on the Yamato, that she is the daughter of the battleship's Officer Nagoya Uchida. Makiko, Kamio and 15-year-old Atsushi (Sosuke Ikematsu) sail to the final position of the sunken ship while Kamio recalls his time on board and the men he served with. |
