Description: |
Director Bruno Dumont's gritty, award-winning coming-of-age drama, about the lives of a group of teenagers in a depressed northern French town. Living on unemployment benefit, and wasting time running around on motorbikes, Freddy (David Douche) and his friends relieve the boredom and gnawing resentment of their lives by targetting the local Arab immigrants. When Kader (Kader Chaatouf), one of the local Arab youths, proposes to Freddie's girlfriend Marie (Marjorie Cottreel), the resulting rage and pent-up frustration boils over, and the group decides to teach the boy a lesson he'll never forget. |
