Now living in Boulogne with his stepmother Helene (Delphine Seyrig), Bernard (Jean-Baptiste Thierree) has not long returned from the ravages of the Algerian war. During his tour of duty, Bernard took part in the torture and murder of a local girl, Muriel, suspected of sabotage. Now, as Helene tries to rekindle past memories with visiting former lover Alphonse (Jean-Pierre Kerien), Bernard fights to come to terms with his past. |
