Description:

Based on a true story, this historical drama about gay inter-racial love is set in a prison near the Cape Town colony in South Africa in the eighteenth century. A black prisoner (Rouxnet Brown) and a white prisoner (Neil Sandilands) are made to assist botanist Virgil Niven (Shaun Smyth) in his experiments. The two prisoners become lovers, but when Niven is recalled home their relationship is revealed and both men are put on trial for their lives.
