Offbeat comedy drama starring Danny Aiello as Al McCord, an average middle-aged car salesman who stumbles into a web of bizarre happenings after he impulsively offers a lift to a beautiful young woman, Ellie (Angleina Jolie), who is trying to get home from LA to her trailer home in the Mojave desert. On arrival, Al finds himself drawn to Ellie's sweetly seductive mother, Julie (Anne Archer) - despite the ominous nearby presence of her psychotically violent boyfriend, Boyd (Michael Biehn).
