Ethel and Tommy's father (Jack Scalia) is about to marry Laura Duvann (Veronica Hamel) and has decided to send them to stay with their future step-mother in Ireland for the Summer. They have never met Laura and discover when they arrive that she is an evil water banshee who possesses real magical powers and, with the help of her butler (David Warner), is set on drowning the last Leprechaun by flooding the local forest.
