| Description: |
French vampire horror. Director Jean Rollin is best known for the series of erotic, gothic vampire films he made in the 1970s. He returns to that style in this tale of a Van Helsing-like professor (Jacques Regis) and his assistant (Denis Tallaron) who venture into a parallel universe filled with wolf-women, witches and baby-eating ogresses, to search for Count Dracula (Thomas Desfosse) and put a stop to his vampiric rule. While in this hellish place, the professor and his aide discover a bizarre order of nuns who are detaining the beautiful, but insane, Isabelle (Cyrille Iste), the betrothed of the still-extant Count.
