| Description: |
A triple set of cult horror films. In 'Black Magic Rites' (1973) satanic rituals take place in an ancient castle's underground vaults and revive a witch who was killed 400 years ago. The rites involve slaughtering seven naked virgins, already dazed by their experiences during a demonic orgy, but the ritual is interrupted by one of the girls' boyfriends who tries to save her. In 'Nude for Satan' (1974) a man who seeks help for an injured women at a gothic castle finds it inhabited by their 'darker' halves and a sex-crazed arachnid with a taste for stockings and sadomasochism. Finally, in 'Satan's Blood' (1978), a trendy Madrid couple cross paths with a handsome, if slightly sinister, couple in the park who invite them to their home. A nasty storm blows up and the new friends must spend the night together. An hour of ouija board action later and darkness truly descends on all present as past affairs and misdeeds begin to emerge. Filled with a black eroticism that mixes sweat with sulphur, this is a genuinely unsettling, perverse film, in which each caress and writhing body is a summons to Satan. |
