Synopsis: |
These regulations, usually known as the RID, are applicable to the international transport of dangerous goods by rail between any of the countries which have signed the Convention concerning International Carriage by Rail (COTIF) of 9th May 1980. RID sets out the minimum standards for safe packing and transport of various types of dangerous goods travelling to or through another country. The regulations are published in French and German by OCTI, the body responsible for administering RID, and are updated every two years. Any amendments to the regulations are discussed and agreed by the RID Committee of Experts. For this edition, there are two options for purchasing: a) book only; or b) pack comprising book and searchable CD-ROM of the title. |
