Each chapter begins with a brief overview about the types of tissues illustrated in the chapter and explains how they fit into the understanding of how the body functions. In addition to protomicrographs, colour illustrations of key structures or concepts are presented. Magnifications are given for each micrograph, and in many cases the same tissue is presented at various magnifications. |
