Miss Read, the headmistress of Fairacre School, learns of a proposed new housing development that soon has the citizens of Fairacre up in arms. And in The Fairacre Festival, after a heavy storm damages the church roof, the villagers must raise money to have it repaired, but something on a grander scale than fetes and coffee mornings is required. So the Fairacre Festival is launched. |
