The CD-ROM version of the revised "Minimum Design Loads for Buildings and Other Structures, SEI/ASCE 7-02" provides the complete text of the standard including all figures, tables, and equations with all of the advantages of an electronic format: powerful text searches; download capability; multi-level bookmarks; and easy navigation. "SEI/ASCE 7-02 on CD ROM" gives the latest consensus requirements for dead, live, soil, flood, wind, snow, rain, ice, and earthquake loads, and their combinations, that are suitable for inclusion in building codes and other documents. "SEI/ASCE 7-02" is a revision of "ASCE 7-98". Revisions incorporated in "SEI/ASCE 7-02" include significant changes made to the following sections: general provisions, load combinations, live loads, flood loads, wind loads, snow loads, earthquake loads, and atmospheric ice loads. The Earthquake Load Provisions in "SEI / ASCE 7-02" are, for the first time, now substantially adopted by reference in the 2003 International Building Code and the 2002 NFPA 5000 Building Construction and Safety Code.Numerous other provisions of all other "SEI/ASCE 7-02" are also adopted by reference by both model building codes including the provisions for calculating wind loads and snow loads thereby making "SEI/ASCE 7" an integral part of the building codes of the United States. Minimum System Requirements are: PC with 486 or higher processor; Microsoft Windows 3.1, Windows 95, or Windows NT 3.51 or later; 16 MB of RAM; 10 MB of available hard disk space; SVGA Monitor; and 2x CD ROM drive. |
