Synopsis: |
Siren is a mysterious and intense field of sound - a collaboration between the artist, Alec Finlay and leading nature recordist, Chris Watson. This work presents a field recording of a sung performance by Clive Powell and Maria Jardardottir, performed in a North Sea Harbour. For Siren, the singers were invited to reprise a line from Tim Buckley's "Song to the Siren" an extended it into a litany. This CD booklet features a poetic field recording composed beautifully by Watson and a poem by Finlay. |
