After four years in a coma following a near-fatal car crash, Meg Winter suddenly, miraculously, regains consciousness. But as she begins to pick up the pieces of her life, one area of the past remains a mysterious, impenetrable blank. She has no memory of the crash, no idea how she came to be in a car with a man whose name means nothing to her - and no idea why he was murdered at the roadside while she was left for dead. But someone, it seems, is very concerned that her memories might return.
