Synopsis: |
Nine-year-old Joshua Wessler is autistic. Following the untimely death of his mother in their South African homeland when he was five, he and his father moved to the south coast of England to start a new life. But whilst his long-suffering but devoted father helps all he can, Josh's only escape from the frustration his autism brings is when he's in his special 'rainbow world'. That and the constant jukebox in his head! For some magical reason, perhaps something only the African witch doctors can understand, whenever Josh sees a rainbow, he is transported to another world where his mind is like that of a normal nine-year-old boy and where his two rainbow friends, Rob and Alex, accompany him on his many adventures. |
