The book is divided into six major sections: (1) laboratory testing and physical modeling; (2) bridge and vertically loaded structures; (3) wall and slope design/construction; (4) pavement and footing; (5) embankment, soft ground and geosynthetic tubes; (6) application of numerical methods; (7) case histories. Papers were first presented at an international symposium held October, 2013 in Bologna, Italy. The book also includes several introductory essays on Dr. Dov Leshchinsky's life and work. |
