This report sets out recommendations for the Defence Medical Services (DMS) from 1 April, 2009, based on evidence relating to the Government's public sector pay and affordability considerations applying to the Ministry of Defence (MoD), DMS manning, recruitment and retention; and pay comparisons with the NHS. It recommends a 1.52 per cent increase for all DMS medical and dental officers and all DMS Reserve equivalents; a 1.5 per cent increase to the value of DMS National Clinical Excellence Awards and Distinction Awards; and, a 1.5 per cent increase to DMS Trainer Pay and GMP associate trainer pay. |
