Synopsis: |
The NHS Pay Review Body (the Body) advises the Government on the remuneration of all staff paid under 'Agenda for Change' and employed in the NHS. Since its last report ("Cm. 7337", ISBN 9780101733724) the parties have agreed a three-year pay deal, and the Body's recommended pay uplift of 2.75 per cent for 2008/09 has been implemented in full. The agreement is reproduced at Annex A of Appendix B of this report. The Body was not consulted on the pay settlement for the subsequent two years of the deal. In this report the Review Body looks at: recruitment, retention and workforce planning; high cost area supplements and recruitment and retention premia; and, morale and motivation. |
