Joseph Maguire is a Professor in the School of Sport & Exercise Sciences at Loughborough University. Currently, he is President of the International Sociology of Sport Association, a member of the Research Council of the International Sociological Association, and co-editor of Research in the Sociology of Sport. He also acts as an advisor to the Association of Commonwealth Universities Scholarship Scheme and is a member of the British Olympic Association's education panel.
