Synopsis: |
This is a collection of light-hearted pieces of music written in a popular style, which start by using three notes and then progress to more sophisticated traditional jazz and Latin American style pieces. The pieces can be played in a variety of ways - as solo recorder pieces with piano accompaniment, for four-part recorder ensemble, small instrument ensemble and classroom orchestra. The pieces are designed to gradually increase the player's range and technique and contain the descant recorder parts, and in most cases, parts for a full recorder ensemble. There is an accompanying teacher's text available. This is a Cambridge University Press publication from July, 1995. |
