Synopsis: |
Christine Winters and Sienna Sheik were best friends at school but with their different backgrounds the two friends soon grew apart - Sienna into the moneyed world she was intended for, whilst Chris had to fight to make her way as a successful businesswoman. It seemed that their worlds were never to meet again. Little did Chris know that Sienna's wedding day would turn her life upside down. When Sienna is brutally kidnapped from her wedding car, Chris does everything in her power to save her. When she is later headhunted by Financial Investigations Inc., an agency which specialises in criminal investigation and terrorism, she is given the perfect opportunity to solve the mystery of her friend's disappearance. Suddenly Chris finds herself thrown from an unfulfilling career as a media and entertainment solicitor into the dangerous underworld of diamond smuggling, money laundering, civil war and terrorism. A lone woman in a man's world, Chris must use her integrity, wit and bravery to uncover the truth surrounding her friend's kidnapping as well as battling her own demons. It soon becomes apparent to Chris that once this Pandora's Box has been opened, it is almost impossible to close. |
