Written by Elizabeth Ferrars. In wartime London, wardens are checking for lights in the blacked-out streets, but inside Cecily Lightwood's flat, a party is in progress. Many people from the literary and artistic world are invited but althougth Cecily is radiant, the party is not going well as Aubrey Ritter from the upstairs flat, who is eagerly awaited by everyone, fails to show.
