The guidance provided by the Sourcebook assumes a broad set of over-arching principles, all centred on good governance and directed at achieving positive and broadly-based sustainable development outcomes. The Sourcebook is intended for use by senior government officials and decision makers and by supporting domestic and international technical specialists. It has been developed through a partnership of universities, industry and civil society organizations, and the World Bank.
