Alex Kelly is the Lead Speech and Language Therapist for Hampshire Partnership NHS Trust and works on the New Forest Community Learning Disability Health Team for adults with learning disabilities. She qualified from the Central School of Speech Drama in 1985 and has since worked predominantly with adults and children with learning disabilities.She is the author of the highly successful 'Talkabout' (Speechmark, 1996), 'Talkabout Activities' (Speechmark, 2003) and 'Talkabout Relationships' (Speechmark, 2004). Alex also co-authored the 'Personal Communication Plan (PCP)' in 1991, which has since been revised for inclusion in her book 'Working with Adults with a Learning Disability' (Speechmark, 2000). |
