Was brachte Werfel in seinem Roman "Die vierzig Tage des Musa Dagh" zu seinem literarischen Engagement fur die Armenier? Wie sind Fiktion und historisches Geschehen in dem Roman umgesetzt und spater kinematografisch verarbeitet worden? Welche Rolle spielen christliche und judische Anschauungen im Werk von Werfel? Welche Rezeptionslinien lassen sich aus armenisch-judisch-turkisch-deutscher Perspektive ziehen? Der Band erschliesst erstmals einen der grossen Romane des 20.
