The widespread attention that the opposition against the Interim gained, is mirrored in the large variety of texts, including not only theological treatises, but also satires, poems etc. In addition, the first volume gives an overview of the complete series of volumes and an historical introduction to the whole period between the Augsburg Interim and the Formula of Concord. German description: Band 1 der Reihe behandelt den Streit um das Augsburger Interim von 1548 und enthalt daruber hinaus einen Uberblick sowie eine historische Einleitung zur Gesamtedition. Angesichts der besonderen Offentlichkeitswirkung, die der Streit um das Augsburger Interim schon zeitgenossisch erreichte, wurde ein breites Spektrum an Quellengattungen aufgenommen, neben theologischen Traktaten wurden auch satirische Schriften, eine Predigt, Spott- und Trostlieder berucksichtigt. Die europaische Ausstrahlung der Debatte belegen das Vorwort zur englischen Ubersetzung eines Melanchthon-Gutachtens und zwei lateinischsprachige Gutachten fur den danischen Konig.Die altglaubige Seite ist durch eine ausfuhrliche Stellungnahme Georg Witzels reprasentiert. Knappe Einleitungen zu den einzelnen Quellen orientieren uber den historischen Kontext und - soweit bekannt - uber die Verfasser; dazu kommen jeweils eine Zusammenfassung des Inhalts und ein Uberblick zur Uberlieferung bzw. zur Editionsgrundlage. Verschiedene Register erleichtern den Zugang und damit die wissenschaftliche Arbeit mit diesem Band. |
