Tommy Basilio (Steve Buscemi) is an unemployed mechanic who leads an aimless life, spending all his time in an alcoholic haze at the Trees Lounge bar. His former boss Rob (Anthony LaPaglia) has taken up with Tommy's ex-girlfriend Theresa (Elizabeth Bracco), who is pregnant with what could be Tommy's child. But Tommy is more interested in Theresa's neice Debbie (Chloe Sevigny), and when he is offered the chance of running the family ice cream van, it is Debbie who begins helping him out. |
