Eddie Murphy stars as vampire Maximillian, lusting after cop Rita Veder (Angela Bassett) and attempting to make her his mate for eternity. Having arrived from the Caribbean to continue the undead race, he promptly enslaves Julius (Kadeem Hardison), turning him into a ghoul, to help him win Rita over.
