Description: |
Melanie Griffith and (husband at the time) Don Johnson star in this remake of the 1950 film starring William Holden and Judy Holliday. Businessman Harry Brock (John Goodman) is embarrassed by the unsophisticated manner of his showgirl girlfriend, Billie Dawn (Griffiths). Brock wants to become a Washington lobbyist and, since he thinks he is in love (and she knows a thing or three about his dodgy business dealings), hires a wizened journalist Paul Verrall (Johnson) to educate her. But Billie was not born yesterday and soon demonstrates that there is more to life than glitz. |
