Description: |
Box set containing the entire first and second seasons of the popular television series. In 'Robin Hood and the Sorcerer (Parts 1 and 2)', Robin (Michael Praed) meets the men who will form his rebel band after being unjustly imprisoned by Guy of Gisburne. After making his escape, he rescues Lady Marion from sorcerer the Baron De Belleme. 'The Witch of Elsdon' sees the Sheriff of Nottingham (Nickolas Grace) attempting to use alleged witch Jennet of Elsdon to render Robin and his men powerless. In 'Seven Poor Knights from Acre', Robin has to take on the Knights Templar when their leader accuses him of stealing a sacred emblem. 'Alan A Dale' sees Robin and his men helping out a newly arrived minstrel with a broken heart, while in 'The King's Fool' Robin is invited to fight at the side of King Richard. In 'The Prophecy', Prince John arrives in Nottingham with a masked captive, whom Robin and his band determine to rescue. 'The Children of Israel' sees the Sheriff attempting to murder a Jewish merchant to whom he owes a vast sum of money, while in 'Lord of the Trees' Guy of Gisburne hires a band of killer mercenaries in order to kill Robin once and for all. 'The Enchantment' sees Robin fall under the spell of evil enchantress Lilith. In 'The Swords of Wayland (Parts 1 and 2)', Robin leads his men to defend a distant village from swordsmen the Hounds of Lucifer. 'The Greatest Enemy' sees the Sheriff making a monumental effort to trap Robin after being threatened with dismissal by King John. When the band are successfully ambushed only Robin, Marian and Much manage to escape. |
