| Description: |
Kaalu (Guru Dutt) is an aimless drifter who takes a job in a garage and promptly falls in love Nikki (Shyama), the garage owner's daughter. He soon proposes marriage, but Nikki's father rules it out of the question. The heartbroken drifter then falls in with a criminal low-life named Captain (Jagdish Sethi) and borrows money from him in order to buy a taxi. Emboldened, Kaalu approaches Nikki again, but she still refuses to go against her father's word, and to make matters worse, Captain soon decides to call in the debt.... |
