The first four episodes from the second series of the popular British drama. The House of Eliott is now the smartest, most prestigious establishment in London and the Eliott sisters have to contend with the pressures of running their empire, as well as the problems in their private lives. Beatrice's (Stella Gonet) devotion to the business puts a tremendous strain on her marriage, while Evie (Louise Lombard) embarks upon a liaison which threatens to ruin both her life and the House of Eliott. In episode 1, the sisters are both offered a job by Gilles Caragnac (Patrice Valota), who has just impressed them with the London showing of his Paris collection. They go to Paris to decide. In episode 2, Beatrice moves into Jack's (Aden Gillett) flat, resolute to build up the House of Eliott and make it more sucessful. The sisters employ a new Vendeuse, Alice Burgoyne (Kate Fahy). Finally, in episode 3, wealthy client Edith Duglass (Phyllida Law) invites Evie to her country manor to do some fittings for her daughter. James (John Elmes), Edith's son, drives Evie to the manor and there is an attraction between them. Finally, in episode 4, Beatrice gets on famously with Jack's mother so scraps her original collection ideas to base the new collection on Ann's illustrations of flora and fauna. |
