Description: |
The entire fifth season of the popular teen fantasy. In 'Buffy vs Dracula', Buffy (Sarah Michelle Gellar) battles the most famous vampire of them all, while Xander falls under the evil Count's spell. 'Real Me' sees Buffy beginning to resent her sister Dawn's presence, while in 'The Replacement', Xander is split into two bodies with separate personalities following an attack by the demon Toth. 'Out of My Mind' finds Spike planning to reverse the effects of the process employed on him by the Initiative in order to return to his bad old ways. In 'No Place Like Home', Buffy's mother suddenly becomes ill, and 'Family' sees the arrival of Tara's family in Sunnydale leading to the revelation of an old secret. In 'Fool for Love', Spike recounts his vampire history to Buffy when she forces him to reveal how he killed two former slayers. 'Shadow' sees Buffy attempting to protect Dawn from an evil force summoned by Glory. In 'Listening to Fear', Buffy's mother prepares for brain surgery, and Sunnydale is visited by an extraterrestrial demon. 'Into the Woods' sees Riley's darkest secret revealed after Buffy discovers him in the arms of a female vampire. And in 'Triangle', Anya and Willow fall out when Giles leaves them in charge of the Magic Shop. In 'Checkpoint' the Watchers' Council comes to Sunnydale and insists that Buffy submit to a review of her slayer skills. 'Blood Ties' has Buffy celebrating her 20th birthday and Dawn making a life-changing discovery. 'Crush' sees Spike first confess his love for Buffy and then, after being rejected, rejoin the dreaded Drusilla. 'I Was Made to Love You' finds Buffy doing her best to save the city from destruction while also confronting how she feels about her lost love. In 'The Body' Buffy and her friends try to cope with the loss of someone very close to them. 'Forever' has Angel console Buffy while Dawn uses magic to resurrect her mother. 'Intervention' sees Spike build a robotic replica of Buffy, leading to much confusion among the gang. 'Tough Love' finds Buffy forced to take on the role of an authority figure in order to bring the wayward Dawn back on track. 'Spiral' sees the gang leave Sunnydale and take on the Knights of Byzantium. 'The Weight of the World' has the friends gather round and try to think of a way they can help Buffy. And finally, in 'The Gift', Buffy comes to make the ultimate sacrifice. |
