| Description: |
Mobster comedy. On the run from a US Senate investigation, New York mobster Don 'Luce' Luciano (John Vernon) finds refuge in the small wintry town of Winnipeg, home to his old flame Maria (Diana Barrington) and Tom (Angelo Pedari), the son he has never known. With the threat of him 'spilling his guts' to the US government, Luce's second-in-command Sam (Al Waxman) decides it's time for the old man to 'retire permanently' - and is forced to use the local Mafia - in the guise of the bungling Gianni (Robert Morelli) and his dancer girlfriend Dolores (Margot Kidder) - to achieve this end. The Godfather would turn in his grave. |
