Description: |
Triple-bill of comedies. In 'You, Me and Dupree' (2006), Owen Wilson stars as slacker Randy Dupree, best man to his friend Carl (Matt Dillon) at his recent wedding to the beautiful Molly (Kate Hudson). As Carl and Molly settle down to married life, their newlywed bliss is rudely interrupted when Dupree reveals that he's lost his job, his house, and even his car, all because he took the time off for Carl's wedding. Crashing in their spare room, Dupree's outrageous antics soon test Carl's notions of friendship to the limit. In 'Deuce Bigalow: European Gigolo' (2005), Rob Schneider is back once more as Deuce Bigalow, the big-hearted male gigolo with the least down below. Fleeing to Europe following a near run-in with the Malibu P.D., Deuce finds himself thrust back into the pleasure-for-pay profession when his former pimp (Eddie Griffin) is wrongly accused of murdering Europe's highest-priced man-whores. Working under the covers, Deuce seduces a bevy of super-freaky female clients (as well as Dutch supermodel Hanna Verboom) to learn the identity of the real killer. Finally, in 'The Sweetest Thing' (2002), San Francisco flatmates Christina (Cameron Diaz), Courtney (Christina Applegate) and Jane (Selma Blair) go out for a night's clubbing to help the latter forget about her recent break-up with her long-term boyfriend. That night, commitment-shy Christina meets Peter (Thomas Jane), who she thinks she might like, yet when she tries to track him down the next day, she finds that he is in the process of getting married. For his part, Peter sees her fleeing the ceremony and begins to wonder if he's doing the right thing after all. |
