Joel Bender directs this disturbing thriller, based on a true story. Paul Bernardo (Misha Collins) and Karla Homolka (Laura Prepon) are a happily married Canadian couple whose relationship, while seemingly perfect on the outside, is considerably darker in private. Kidnapping several women, the couple torture, rape and murder their victims, although when eventually caught Karla claims she was forced into it by her violent and abusive husband. As she is interviewed by a psychiatrist, Karla recounts her story. |
